My winter has been incredible, full of travels and adventures in various places around the world where it’s possible to practice ice climbing.
At the beginning of January I left the USA, travelling to Canada to climb in one of the most interesting places in the world for the ice falls: the Canadian central-west area, just between Alberta and British Columbia. There I spent 10 days, climbing some of the most beautiful ice falls I’ve ever seen.
Ice climbing is considered to be the most challenging form of mountaineering. It is also the perfect preparation for big alpine activities. We discussed with our ambassador Harald Fichtinger what's crucial to having fun with this activity!
From the colorful, teeming-with-life streets of its villages to the slopes of Gasherbrum 2. This true story by Helias Millerioux takes us in one the sacred lands of alpinism: Pakistan. Read about his 3 months spent there
72 days walking in silence from Bobbio, or from Valtrebbia and the appennini piacentini up to Santiago De Compostela: 2089 kilometers to get in front of its majestic cathedral. Claudio Pelizzeni of Triptherapy traces with us his extraordinary journey accomplished with a vow of silence from Italy to Spain.
It's called "The Black Baikal Race", and it's an extreme foot race on the frozen Baikal lake, in Siberia: a sporting experience beyond any limit, in a hostile place with temperatures over -30 degrees.
Our Ambassador and professional photographer Manrico Dell'Agnola was there last year, testing our brand new Tamaskan.
It took 3 years to ascend the Nuptse, 3 years of attempts before succeeding in dominating this gigantic wall near Everest and Lhotse. I remember 2015, 2016 and 2017 as truly fantastic, intense years.
The border is teeming with soldiers searching for drugs, though it’s hard to understand how they can find them, considering the complete lack of sniffer dogs or state-of-the-art detection technology. The feeling we get is that American dollars can buy you anything here, even people.
Surrounded by unspoiled landscapes of ancient volcanoes with the soundtrack of an engine worn away by the burden of its years, Elia Giovacchini and Yumi Mastromarino took us in an inspiring journey through the enchanting Guatemala, its bumpy roads and unique people.
Ideal for walks out in the snow, for snowshoe excursions and other winter leisure activities, Tamaskan by Dolomite were designed as multifunctional footwear for winter in any weather conditions.
