SINCE 1897,
DOLOMITE TELLS TRUE STORIES
OF EPIC ADVENTURES AND
MONUMENTAL ACHIEVEMENTS.

Today with the same spirit that has defined Dolomite, we are pushing towards new horizons: to improve the impacts of our business practices, to preserve the environment for future generations, and to stimulate positive change in our communities.

re-source by Dolomite was established to develop and promote corporate responsibility. The program focusses on three key pillars: people, planet and product.

WE CONSIDER THAT ALL PEOPLE INVOLVED ALONG OUR SUPPLY CHAIN SHOULD BE TREATED FAIRLY AND WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT.

RSI CODE OF CONDUCT

Ensuring that all the people across our supply chain are treated fairly with respect and dignity is something that we and our customers value. We partnered with Responsible Sports Initiative (RSI), a project of the World Federation of Sporting Goods Industry. The RSI uses a single code of conduct that all members adhere to.

Our code of conduct covers social and environmental topics that are important for us and for the stakeholders. The ultimate goal is to improve the social and environmental conditions under which our products are produced and distributed. We believe that it is through close collaboration with our valued partners that we will be able to move forward.

rsi stands for Responsible Sport Initiative

ITALIAN OUTDOOR GROUP

DOLOMITE proudly joins and supports the #Outdoor Italia social campaign, promoted by the Italian Outdoor Group.

A solidarity initiative aimed at sustaining all the activities and people who work in the outdoor touristic sector in Italy. From alpine guides to small mountain huts, DOLOMITE is strongly committed on giving voice and image to those who live and work in straight contact with the outdoor world, promoting and supporting the practice of outdoor activities in the Italian panorama.

No secondary purpose, no self-promotion, just the simple but incredibly significant pledge of helping and sustaining people. DOLOMITE has offered its full support and its communication channels to the cause, giving a weekly relevance and exposition to the ones who are the very essence of outdoor, the ones that like DOLOMITE, live and breathe outdoors.

From the majestic peaks of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo to the Alta Badia valley, DOLOMITE contributes to sustain and promote people who work in the Italian outdoor touristic sector in the Dolomites area, like Activity Trentino or alpine guides as Nicola Tondini.

We aim to maximize the sustainable nature of our products while still maintaining their level of performance through R&D, new technologies and design.

EUROPEAN OUTDOOR GROUP SUSTAINABILITY CHARTER

As part of Scott Sports Group, Dolomite is also member of the European Outdoor Group (EOG). Scott Sports has signed the Sustainability Charter. The Charter is an initiative to align all members of the Outdoor Industry in order to recognize the importance of moving together in making the industry a leader in environmental and social stewardship. The Charter has three stages that increase in commitment towards sustainability topics. This first commitment is our first official stand for being a more responsible member of society but will be followed by much more as we move to improve our practices, processes and products.

Dolomite X Trentino Tree Agreement

We’re teaming up with Trentino Tree Agreement, the fund-raising project born to restore the woodlands destroyed by the storm “Vaia” in the Paneveggio area (Dolomites, Italy). Through this broad-reaching collaboration, we’re supporting, and actively taking part in the woodlands’ reforestation, as a driving force to raise awareness among the present and future generations. A unique opportunity to put down solid roots for the future of the environment and the communities.

Partners

At Dolomite, we choose to work closely with partners who share a common interest in what our Corporate Responsibility program stands for.

LEATHER WORKING GROUP

Dolomite is an active member of the Leather Working Group (LWG), which is a multi-stakeholder group that promotes sustainable business practices within the leather industry. The LWG has developed stringent standards and audit protocols benchmarked against industry best practices, and checks compliance through independent monitoring. Our participation in the LWG supports the goal to improve the leather manufacturing industry by creating alignment on environmental priori-ties, bringing visibility to best practices and providing guidelines for continual improvement.

Higg Index

We have partnered with HIGG Co, the developer of the set of sustainability tools called the HIGG Index. These tools allow us to better understand our product sustainability by looking at our production processes, material selection and production locations but also our company's sustainability activities. With the help of the HIGG Index sustainability tools, we are able to improve the impacts of our products and processes on society and the environment.

YOUNGONE BANGLADESH

“Youngone Bangladesh produces the majority of our Softgood products. We have had a longstanding relationship with them since 1998. Youngone is a leading manufacturer of outdoor sports apparel and gear, and an example of a responsible steward of the environment and society. In 1999, Youngone started to rehabilitate 2500 acres of barren land in Chattogram Bangladesh by planting trees. To date, Youngone has planted more than 2.1 million trees and due to this effort, 18 water reservoirs have also been created. These actions have led to the return of local fauna in the Chattogram area and the reservoirs help mitigate flooding and control sediment flow. In 2003, fish were introduced into the reservoirs and they can be harve-sted as a food source. Youngone is also a pioneer in the employment of females in Bangladesh, offering training and career opportunities.”

RE'SOURCE BY DOLOMITE IS AN IMPORTANT STEP FOR US IN BECOMING A RESPONSIBLE STEWARD OF OUR PLANET AND SOCIETY. WE LOOK FORWARD TO IMPROVING OUR PRACTICES IN EACH OF THESE FIELDS.
