Hélias Millerioux

Hélias Millerioux is a French alpinist and a mountain guide. Born in 1987 in Paris, he started climbing at the age of 14 and at 21 he was invited to join the elite French National Youth Alpinist team. He qualified as a mountain guide at the prestigious Ecole National de Ski et Alpinism (ENSA) at the age of 25. Now 30, Helias has accumulated extensive expedition experience with eight high-altitude pursuits in Argentina, Peru, Alaska, Nepal and Pakistan. Notable climbs include Slovak Direct route on Denali where the two-man team had to endure eight days on the remote ridge; and Seula Chico in Peru where 'Le Gang des Moustaches' opened a technical new route 'Looking for the Void'. In 2016 he and the French alpinist Yannick Graziani attempted to open a new ski route on Diamir Face of Nanga Parbat, ultimately doing a normal ascent of this 8,000 m peak. Last but not least, 'Le Gang des Moustaches' made two attempts at opening new route alpine style on the south face of Nuptse but it was only in autumn 2017 that they finally succeeded. When he is not in the mountains, Helias can be found surfing the big waves.
